Tracks: 10

The album starts with the title song 'Company', a comfortingly soft track that features hauntingly melancholy vocals combined with delicate guitars and a subdued rolling drum line to create a song seemingly made for relaxation. 'Because I Know That I Can' is in a much different vein, with a much more upbeat feel and jangly guitars behind prolifically positive lyrics. The largely unsung drummer-songwriter may be better known as the ex-drummer of Razorlight, co-writing hits such as the UK #1 'America', and has paved his own way with two solo records, with this album 'Company' marking his third release. Produced by Tim Baxter and Burrows himself, this album has really pulled together to exhibit some effortlessly polished tracks that remain true to the style of his previous works.

'Keep On Moving On' is a real rock'n'roll song that showcases Burrows' confidence to make a record 'exactly how I felt musically and lyrically', and is great in that it has a really catchy chorus yet the song holds a nostalgic feel, almost like a throwback to the mid 70's. However this album is musically quite conservative, sticking to plain acoustic guitars and AA/BB rhyming schemes; a little more variety would be nice but in my opinion, the album works and I think Burrows should 'Keep On Moving On' and continue to create easy-on-the-ears music. While this is no chart-topping hit it's still a decent album, and anyone looking for some easy listening should give it a go.
