This is an unashamed labour of love by two of the leading members of one of the UK's top R&B bands, Nine Below Zero.

Dennis Greaves (guitar) and Mark Feltham (harmonica) take us back to their roots and the music of blues legends such as Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, Leadbelly and John Lee Hooker.

Their stripped back approach is restricted to mainly guitar, harmonica and vocals. Six of the tracks are from the Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee back catalogue, including Walk On, Backwater Blues, Born and Living With The Blues and I Love You Baby.

Other tracks include songs from Hank Williams, Randy Newman, Warren Zevon and Juthro Tull's Ian Anderson.

There are two original songs on the album - Egg On My Face by Dennis and Ballad of Dombovar by Dennis and Mark.

There is also Stone Fox Chase - otherwise known as the theme tune to the Old Grey Whistle Test!

Throughout the album the stunning harmonica work from Mark Feltham is a joy.

It can't be easy backing such a talent on guitar but Dennis does a great job.

Mark's control and technique of his instrument is special. Just listen to him play Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White. Mesmerising.

And is it all wrapped up with a lovely version of Amazing Grace.
