Money For Rope, hailing from Melbourne, Australia, present us with a collection of self-penned, hard hitting, attention grabbing, heart stopping rock and roll delights with the emphasis firmly on the roll! Building a fine reputation for their sprawling, devil-may-care brand of surf, garage and soul infused groove this is a band to keep a look out for, and something tells me that within a short space of time you won't have to look far to find them...for they deserve to be everywhere should this offering be anything to go by!

Thumping twin drum kits, a three pronged vocal onslaught, driving guitars, and snarling bass lines are complimented by Doors-esque keyboards, creating a sound which oozes energy, oozes self-belief, and oozes intent....and most of all oozes unquestionable style! Think The Rolling Stones at their most soulful, early Kings of Leon when at their most honest, INXS at their most raucous and audacious and throw in that irresistible Vietnam era Doors smouldering dissent and you have an idea as to what awaits!

There's hooks a plenty, angsty grooves, candid lyrics that capture the pressures of modern life, modern love, and modern lust....and there's little or no respite from all of the above, as if you'd want any!!! Constant explosions of intriguing 60's inspired bluesy riffage, and hypnotic chorus lines by the truck load drive tracks such as 'Misery Lane', 'The Easy Way Out' and 'Common Man', while stand out track (for this engrossed listener) 'Ten Times' introduces an even bolder and downright rampant cacophony, an absolute must for those who delight in those chant-a-long anthems!

With dates to be confirmed across the UK including hopefully some decent slots on the Summer Festival carousel, it's likely that we'll hear plenty of these grafting, rock and rolling, soul and surfing, purveyors of the most pleasing noise! If you can catch them, then do, if you can't, then buy the album, and when you do, turn it up, no, turn it right up, and a little bit more.... 'Money For Rope' deserve to be heard, deserve to played loud, and certainly deserve that big stage! Their tunage is crying out loud for that big stage!
