Nina Baker has a very lovely voice. That is the most immediate thing to come from the first few minutes of her album. It is soft, warming and gentle. Her music is a mix of many different genres to give us a completely individual indie, and it works very well for her.

The opening track, 'Single Bed' gives us a wide variety of instrument uses from piano, guitars, percussion and brass, but of course this all to support her vocals which plough through with strength.

Her music has a very distinct style that you can pick up through every song and it could risk most of the songs sounding eerily similar. When it comes to it though the songs are individual enough, with tracks like 'Breaking Every Rule' and 'Clown' being a lot more slow and dramatic than songs like the jazzy 'Game You Play' and 'Little Fibs'.

It seems to be the variety in styles that is really exciting here, as some tracks really are jazzy, with others being more rock and some like 'When I'm Not With You being more like modern day pop. They all then connected by Nina's thrilling vocals.

When listening to this album, it is impossible not to fully immerse yourself in it and dance away, each tune is so catchy that you'll be humming them for days later. Much, I'm sure, to the irritation of your family, until you play it for them and they catch the Nina virus too. There is a hidden track on the album, which ties the album off nicely with a bow and helps to bring the entire peice together.

Wonderful vocals and electrifying music.
