Celtic Reggae Revolution, don't let the title deter you from listening to this, everything about it says it should not work. Therefore I am going to get straight to the point, it really does. This album is a fusion of Irish traditional, meets Reggae and Dub with a smidgeon of Ska, that all marry well. To paint the picture it is like Edward II meets Bob Marley and they have walked into an Irish session.

My Stand out tracks are, St Brendans Dub which eases the listener in, and sets the tone for what is to come, a happy uplifting tune with rich Irish traditional melodies. Gypsy Tax Fiddle Dub, a rework of Raggle Taggle Gypsy, really works with the subtle undercurrent of drum and bass driving the track, while still retaining an Irish traditional feel. Celtic Truth Dub makes you want to get up and dance a really happy track.

Message From The Druids, another uplifting mash up of the different genres all work really well together. The Dubliners Dub another completely chilled out track, a lovely melodic tune. Along with I think the best track of all, Smokin Irish Pipes on the Hob, beautifully produced and is definitely my favourite.

Planxty Mahatma Ghandi finishes off the Album excellently with the whistle and pipes washing over you with the drum and bass, again a subtle undercurrent all holding it together. This is a great album with a relaxed feel to it that is a great one to play post gig to wind down. Twelve beautifully produced tracks, all expertly worked. I think it is a truly satisfyingly unique album.
