As an introduction to this three piece outfit I could not wished for a better offering. For those like myself who have never come across Little Red they are a three piece consisting of Hayley Bell on vocals, Ben Gosling on vocals, guitar, bass drums and Ian Mitchell on vocal an guitar.

Now let's get down the business The Huntsman is a four track release through ALLWILLBEWELL Records. The song writing by Mitchell and Gosling is exquisite and the musicianship is superb. Each song though different in its own right follows seamlessly in to the next one.

The opening track The Huntsman is a swirling melodic offering.A real gem of a track, that makes an excellent opening to this little gem of an album. This is followed by two more I would not say upbeat offerings as all four songs have dark undercurrents to them but Chapters and Black Dog certainly have a feel of a toe tapping jig to them. The final track Mr Wolf returns musically to where we started a dark swirling melodic tale sang beautifully by Hayley Bell.

So in conclusion a real gem of a EP, a plesure to listen to and well worth searching out and adding to your collection.
