Every so long an album of songs comes along that just sticks with you and you can't get them out of your head. I have been listening to this album mainly in the car recently and on more than occasion thought "this should be on Radio 2".

Not that I mean that in anyway a slur but with so many great songs this is a wonderful collection that deserves a wider audience.

Tim has spent time in the Canadian armed forces and there are references to his tours of duty.

But there is so much more to this fine album. The musicianship throughout is a joy - and I have lost count of how many different instruments it features.

The production is first rate, expertly blending a wide variety of styles - from gritty bluesy tunes with an authentic rawness to full-on romantic tearjerkers with an orchestral backing.

From the most commercial-sounding opener Run to the closing title track Tears Along The Road, there is so much to enjoy.

A word too about the backing vocals which feature throughout - they add so much to the overall feel of this album.

The songwriting is varied too - from the jaunty Seven Nights Seven Days with its middle-eastern musical motif to the thoughtful The Walls.

I particularly enjoyed Devil On Your Back, an earthy revenge song. Equally, the touching Closer Back to Me shows Tim's more sensitive side. Dangerous Love is beautifully crafted with its atmospheric trombone and sparkling piano.

In truth there is not one weak track on this album. The songs are all brought to life with the superb playing and production. Congratulations to all concerned.

If you enjoy good music, well played, then this is for you.
