Jordie Lane, another new name to me, hails from Melbourne, Australia, and is a relative newcomer to the UK music scene.

The five-track collection was recorded in the USA; a collaboration with respected producer Skylar Wilson, who has previously worked, among others, with such artists as Justin Townes Earle, Caitlin Rose and Wanda Jackson. Little surprise then, that despite bring short, it flows snd feels well put together.

The five songs on this EP, Here She Comes, Dead of light, Maybe someday, Lost in you and I think I always thought, highlights Lane's distinctive, smooth, sometimes sultry, vocals with a distinctive Americana sound.

There is something quite compelling about this short collection and I look forward to seeing what his next full Length CD holds in store.
