If you ever want something to relax you, you know then the jasmine tea just isn't enough. Then, I am no doctor but I would prescribe listening to LoveFlowers album of Bridge or Barrier. This trio from Sweden are simply sensational. I love the folk melodies that are created, it's quite effective. Epically in the first track of Children Eyes. The melody starts of calm and cool and then out of the blue it changes to a regimented drum beat, very dramatic. This phrase of music is repeated and then developed further on in the song.

However most of the songs are peaceful and create relaxed atmosphere throughout the album. The name LoveFlowers reminds me of that 70's hippy vibe, however they still contain that acoustic, folk and country music genres in that are in my opinion up to date. I felt a little let down that I didn't get to hear more of their cultural backgrounds oozing out of the album. The band are from Sweden and I was interested to see how different or not as the case maybe folk music is compared to English Folk.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed listening to the calming acoustic sounds coming from LoveFlowers, it was a nice surprise to hear vocals coming from the trio as well. I think it would have been alright just to enjoy the instrumentation of the folk musicians, it was even better to hear the one instrument that is different to all artists and that's the voice. I particularly enjoyed the harmonies they created with their voices. Somehow their voices worked together as one.

Ever since I started to review for Fatea magazine, I have really grown to love the genre of folk music and this is one of those albums that whether you like folk or not, you can get into it
