Songs From a Satellite is the long awaited third album from British acoustic duo Blackheart, which comprises Chrissy Mostyn and Rick Pilkington. Their style is almost impossible to categorise; folk, pop, acoustic and alternative blend, with great musicianship and the achingly beautiful voice of Chrissy Mostyn, to create a sound that is uniquely theirs.

A song many will recognise, The Sky and I, makes a return, with a rather different sound, produced by by Grammy Nominated John Ravenhall (Paul McCartney, Elton John, Sting) Everything You Are and Not Over Yet have become firm favourites at live performances and it is great to see they have made it onto a recording.

One of Blackheart's greatest gifts is in telling the story, true and fictional, in an accessible, articulate, moving, way. Never is this truer than in songs such as Rain on Me, Come the Fall and This Romance. Another highlight is the intriguingly titled The Gospel According to You.

After a long recording hiatus, it is safe to say Blackheart are back. Several of these songs have potential on radio and I sincerely hope we will be hearing more of them; they are undoubtedly, one of the best things to come from England in recent years and as such they deserve to be heard and appreciated
