Sarah Louise (who I have learned was born Sarah Louise Sarnacki Owen) hails from the Welsh speaking town of Caernarfon in North Wales, where she grew up playing music and telling stories around her Dad's piano. She sang in choirs in the Eisteddfod, but didn't think of a career in music until she wrote her first song when she was seventeen.

She has recorded five previous albums, in both English and her native Welsh. This, her sixth CD, features ten songs, all of which are performed in English.

For this recording, she has veered more towards a more eclectic mix, ranging from piano led acoustic ballads, to pop-folk songs, all of which suit her vocal style very well indeed. Stand out tracks include Fireworks, Lifeboat, Love and Anger, Dream Catcher and These Walls, a co write with none other than the Christians' Henry Priestman, a fellow Wales native.

On the strength of this recording, I have been persuaded to look into earlier works by Sarah Louise Owen and see what led her to Dream Catcher.
