If you look for descriptions of Shane O'Linski , the most common phrases you come across are eccentric, madcap and out there, but a Google Viv Stanshall and you get pretty much the same thing, but it's as good a way of any a teeing up that this is not going to be run of the mill, mainstream.

Shane has been making music in and around the Norwich area for a good few years now and during that time, it has to be said that his outlook has been prolific, originally on self produced tapes and then, once the technology permitted, on self produced cds. That was until the album, "Getting Closer", a 17 track extravaganza released way back in 2011 and which has been unavailable for a while now.

"5ive More Getting Closer" songs is a prelude to that album getting a reissue later in the spring and one that shows O'Linski has lost none of the traits that make him legend. There's psyche pop and catchy songs amongst the tracks on offer, even the rarely heard sound of the Greek zither. There is quite a lot here that appeals, but like the vegan pasty paid homage to in, "I Fed You", it won't be too everyone's taste.
