Back with vengeance from The Moon's High Tide, Steve Bonham is back with his new album Songsmith.

Quite fitting to the album title, Steve Bonham is a songsmith with a guitar who is truly passionate about his craft.

His music is a little different this year with this album.

Steve Bonham uses music to tell a powerful and emotional story it tells a story of the First World War and because it is based upon experiences of his own family it gives it that personal touch to it.

They Came Home is defiantly a tear jerker. In keeping with the country song genre, the elements of a piano, tuba, fiddle and of course guitar works really well. Each instrument played in the track complement each other.

We get to connect with Bonham through the art of music; we see the emotional and deep side to him as an artist.

It is a music complement to Remembrance Day, not only remembering the soldiers who fought for us and died in the wars but who survived their wars and are still alive today to remember it and suffer from the traumatic experience that they had to endure.

Though not all doom and gloom, Bonham lets is hair down (or should I say cowboy hat) and has some fun in this album.

Sister of a Dirty Moon will bring families together up and dancing in their kitchens. It is such a catchy and upbeat tune, with flutes, guitars and violins this track is like a musical interpretation of minestrone soup.

Songsmith is an album by Steve Bonham where we truly get an essence of what Bonham is like as person.
