12 years into a remarkable career Scottish 'Bagrock' heroes The Red Hot Chilli Pipers have released the ultimate stereo experience of their unique take on popular music - a live album. The Chilli Pipers are a band to be enjoyed up the front with your dancing shoes but failing that this is most definitely the next best thing.

For those of you not in the know, The Chilli Pipers are an (anything up to) 19 piece troupe who pump out traditional tunes alongside modern pop hits by acts such as Coldplay, Snow Patrol. Queen and The Kings Of Leon. With musical degrees coming out of their collective ears they're as skilled a band as you'll ever come across, they've sold umpteen hundreds of thousands of records all over the world and are in huge demand for festivals and concerts in every territory imaginable. Recorded at the prestigious Milwaukee Irish Festival on the banks of Lake Michigan, this, their second live record to date, sees the band rattling through a set including an opening gambit of 'Insomnia' by Faithless, a fantastic rip through War's classic 'Low Rider' and Journey's enduring hit song 'Don't Stop Believing' which has the audience singing along to a man (and woman!).

The absolute pinnacle of the set, and the tune which has brought them over 2 million YouTube hits recently is a take on the absolutely massive dance hit from 2013, 'Wake Up' by Avicii.

It's great fun and entertaining throughout but let's be honest, this is a band to be experienced in the flesh not from the comfort of your armchair.
