Having formed back in 2008 and released their debut album, "We Are The O's", a year later, the duo, consisting of Taylor Young and John Pedigo have maintained the cycle of album, tour, write in pretty much a two year schedule with sophomore "Between The Two", back in 2011. If you happen to live Stateside you were lucky enough to get "Thunderdog" last year. I'm pleased to say that Electric Honey have picked the album up for a long overdue release over here. Not only that they also toured over here with Del Amtri.

During their extensive touring over the years, they've supported acts right across the rock/pop and folk, roots based arenas, something which has allowed them to develop a sound that is a bit of an amalgam and like the quicksilver that is a core element of that, it doesn't quite follow the rules.

There are so many sounds that you can hear in The O's, everything from They Might Be Giants to the Proclaimers and a whole host of points in between. Kick drums and hand percussion help drive the sound along and guitars, harmonicas, banjo and even a lowbrow give the whole sound a rough around the edges, edgy live vibe.

"Thunderdog" is an album that you feel would be as at home busked on the street as it would be in theatre. It's as full of energy as it is unpredictable, not only that you get the feeling the boys had a riot putting the whole thing together.

This is blood and sawdust music, it's uncouth and doesn't know the meaning of the word sterile. "Thunderdog" is an album that simply let's go and impassions you to do the same.
