With an interest piqued by a lively performance on the 'Introducing' stage at the Great British Folk Festival during one of the Butlins music weekends, the fourth EP from Coco & The Butterfields is a timely reminder of how far they've come from their busking roots which still remain at the core of what they do.

Having invented the genre of 'fip fok' their journey has brought them from Glastonbury to BBC 6 Music, and of course to Butlins, surfing a wave of bright and energetic folky pop and country rock. There's no doubting that the feel-good factor registers pretty high and there's a patchwork of variety in abundance again on the new release. 'Hurricane' indulges in a bit of rap for good measure for a mid-EP respite before order gets restored with 'Mother' while the beat boxing features in 'Plants' amidst the vocals bouncing back and forth to add to the diversity. Less genre hopping and more an all embracing musical assortment and a refusal to conform to fit into any particular genre, 'See The Sun' offers up an energetic variety bringing to life the phrase 'what you see is what you get.'

A perfect festival band either up onstage with a big PA or out in the fields busking around a tent and as they sing in the closing track, "We'll keep growing like the plants," all very organic and natural.
