I first heard Aylin (Eye-lin) on a YouTube link last year singing John Lennon's "Love." I thought the version was stunning so I sent her a Tweet to tell her. Much to my surprise she replied immediately and asked me if I was a promoter as she wants to come to the UK. I am not but there are times when I would like to be to help promote real talent like this.

Aylin is Australian, from Melbourne and is not only a superb vocalist but a beautiful lady too. Her first and only to date EP is Arrows of Desire which is available on both iTunes and Amazon. Her website claims she is an Indie band although I never feel comfortable calling one person a band. The stand out song on the EP is probably "One more chance" but they are all terrific. Slow late night listening. If you like to dance to your music you will need to learn a few very slow moves.

Her vocals are all accompanied by Will Larsen a multi instrumental and talented producer and film composer. Mainly very simple and stripped down accompaniments which allow Aylin's voice to be head to its best effect.

Aylin's music is a mixture of self-penned songs and covers by artists such as Amy Winehouse, Coldplay, Jason Mraz and Carole King. Her version of Adele's "Skyfall" is superb with the song really suiting her silky smooth voice. To my mind at least better than the original!
