For his fifth album, determine singer songwriter ROJOR sticks firmly to his touchingly old-fashioned belief that quality will out and romantic reliance on strong melodies, a decent hook and compelling lyrics. If you've not so far had the pleasure, then it's well worth seeking out this North East fellow if only to remind yourself of the depth of genuine talent that slips under, over and around every radar in the business for years.

Judging by his website he has been making records under various hairstyles for years, although the ROJOR name is more recent. Along the way he's shared the stage with the likes of Primal Scream and Martin Stephenson, picked up a host of Radio 2 and RTE airplay and been compared to everyone from John Lennon to Paddy McAloon, Prince, Aimee Mann, John Cale and Paul Buchanan.

In short, he's been banging on the door for ages and seriously needs to gain admittance.

The Last Box of Bullets continues in the vein that has served him this well thus far. Intelligent, literate, melodic adult pop rock songs that draw on the many flavours of human endeavour and experience to create mini tributes to modern life. Naturally, much of this has to do with affairs of the heart and ROJOR runs the gamut from misery to fear via despair, disbelief and the occasional outbreak of absolute joy across these 11 songs.
