Tom Moon is a young up and coming English artist with a rich history of music that has started from a young age. He has been in a number of bands (of different genres) and even wrote his first song at 15. His EP release 'By the By' is certainly an exciting EP to have hold of.

He has a good, confident voice and gentle instruments playing and lovely storyline to the opening song 'Stay'. 'Under My Skin' has a good intro with lots of soft instruments, helping to calm and sooth the listener as his gentle vocals then come in and take the forefront. It almost sounds like he is whispering in parts he seems to be that relaxed.

'Stars' is much faster and foot tapping with good use of the banjo for effect and gives us variation to his music to stop his listeners from getting too bored. This does then slow down again in the final song 'Next View' where we get a slow guitar intro before again his calm voice comes in.

This EP does a good job of hooking people and giving a nice sample of Tom Moon's work. He strikes me as the kind of artist who avoids surprises and simply gives you the music you first like.
