If you are at a loose end on the 14th and happen to be in London, may we strongly recommend that you pop along to the Slaughtered lamb in Clerkenwell for the launch of Lucy Ward's album, "Adelphi Has To Fly". Lucy first came to our attention via The Radio Two Young Tradition awards where she was a finalist back in 2009. If you haven't yet decided on your late season festival schedule, may we humbly suggest that you check out Purbeck Folk Festival, running from the 26th to the 28th of August. With a good balance of national and local acts, it's a festival that's got a lot going for it, including, hopefully, the weather. Originally due for release on July 4th, Birdengine's debut full length album, "The Crooked Mile" has been put back to the 1st of August due to a cock up when one of the tracks was accidently mastered in mono. A debut release is a stressful enough time for any artist, so we're keeping our fingers crossed that everything is good for the new date, which will coincide with the the next, as yet un-named, Fatea Showcase Session.

This week's video comes from North East duo, Hyde & Beast. Featuring Futurehead's Dave Hyde and ex-Golden Virgins drummer, Neil Bassett.
