If the recent Sandy Denny Box set was a little out of your price range, last seen being touted on Amazon at fifteen hundred quid and on eBay for the buy now price of twelve hundred and fifteen pound sixty six pence then you might be interested in the new re-release of "The North Star Grassman And The Ravens" at a far more reasonable eleven of your earth pounds.

The album has been given the deluxe treatment, meaning it's coming as a double album with demos, live tracks and alternative versions.(A more detailed review soon)

Whilst on the subject of Fairport Convention related artists, there's good news for Richard Thompson fans in the shape of a 4CD box set featuring a whole host of sessions recorded at the Beeb, both solo and with Linda Thompson

Spanning over four decades of sessions for the likes of Peel, Kershaw and Robinson the box set shows just how versatile the man is as a guitarist and performer. When you hear the styles that he can just turn his hand to, it's no wonder he's revered as one of the greatest guitarists that these Isles have produced.(detailed review on it's way)

Talking of production, the Fatea team would like to congratulate Dan and Monique, better known as Tinderbox on the production of their new daughter, Orla Daisy on the last day of May. Orla Daisy has made several appearances on stage, albeit as a bump. The proud parents have also been busy in the studio working on a new album, but no release date yet.

There is a date for the new deal on tickets to Beverley Festival, following a deal between festival organisers and Northern Rail. From 2012 punters going to the festival by train will get themselves a ten percent discount on festival tickets, more detail from www.beverleyfestival.com That said if you do go by train to the festival this year, take your tickets to the box office to get a discount on next year.

Also keep you eye out on stations in the area as there will be some performances by festival artists in the run up to the festival which is happening on the 17th-19th of June.
