There's nothing that the sound of a harmonica demanding attention from your speakers can't fix. Interesting beginning you might think, conjuring up thoughts of some sort of cowboy infused ditty. Not at all. Osian Rhys has produced a lush little number in his new single 'long time gone' and from the first note you know you're onto a winner. The harmonica fades wonderfully sweet into the track thats sleepy and comforting and seeks approval with its catchy title-led chorus. With little background knowledge of him it's not difficult to picture Rhys playing to a smokey, candlelit room, each person captivated by the intimacy of the music.

You can sense a deep felt love between Rhys and this tune; he's totally entangled in its gentle ebbs and wants you to join him on it's journey. Simple, honest and ethereal, 'long time gone' is the calm before and after the storm. It's not looking to be loved and cherished forever, just a tiny corner in your heart to let it settle in.
