For those not familiar with Blue on Black, they are a three piece band from Cornwall, who play good solid Rock and Blues with a strong influence from the 70's British rock end of the blues, which is so loved by modern Bluesman Joe Bonamassa.

All of the tracks are written by the three band members and shows the influences of that era, with shades of Rory Gallagher, Eric Clapton and a little bit of Hendrix but all delivered in Blue on Blacks own style.

It is a studio recording with a good live feel to it, highlight tracks being Poor Boy Do, which has a driving R&B beat and a song the band often use as an opener to their live set, Black Smoke Blues, which features Larry Miller guesting on guitar and Man Down, that has a good solo as a tribute to the late and greats Jimi, SRV, Healey, Kossoff and Rory.
