Stark are an exciting trio from Brighton their mini album Stories from The Ground due for release on March 4th, really have something to say with this collection of tracks. The tight arrangements and lyrics really show Stark as potentially great stars of the future in the folk world. This is definitely my kind of Folk Music. The blending of harmonies give this trio a bigger band feeling. Catchy tunes and clever lyrics showcase their talents brilliantly.

Let's fall down together the first track from this album was released free on Soundcloud as a result from an online vote where their fans could choose which track would be the first free download. Go and have a listen you will not be disappointed.

Other stand out tracks for me although I have to stress they are all great songs,

Hundred for an inch- the song that (had me at hello) also Ball And Chain the arrangements and percussion and vocals all had me dancing around my living room. I enjoyed the frantic instruments played within an inch of their lives.

The feeling I got from listening to this was these guys are passionate about the music. An album full of intense, frantic, captivating instruments blended with rich vocals, and delightful harmonies. Stark has it all!

Find them on Facebook or look out for them in festival season, the future of folk music is so bright its……………. STARK
