Imagine what a piece of music would sound like when a young teenage boy is sitting in his room writing songs and playing a guitar. Well listen to Mason Summit and his album is the result of that.

His vocals may lack technique as at times they can be a tad all over the place. However he does pour his emotions and passions into his songs that make up for that.

As a teenager of 17, musically he is very talented. His skills of a musician are showcased in this particular song of Absentee. This song is truly deep and meaningful. His father also a musician died when Mason was only 11 and this song seems to act as a creative outlet. This track is the show stopper part of the album with electric guitars, organ, harmonica and I am pretty sure I can even hear a flute. Mason pulls out all the stops for this song; it is a nice dedication to the memory of his father.

Although this album may have a few issues with continuity, this maybe because Mason is still trying to find his musical niche. As Absentee is still all over the place with musical treats that I don't know which genre of music it fits into.
