Callum Rafferty is a young musician from London yet the music that he plays is mature for is age.

I would describe Callum as a young James Arthur; he has that raspiness and dark undertones to his voice. Fusing pop, rock and the traditional folk music he uses this as only a layer to his single release 'Speak Now'.

Although both music and lyrics complement each other I can't help but notice how emotional the lyrics are. His second track Seconds Fall Forever is an endearing love song about his experiences with a lover.

At the age of 16 I do not imagine that a boy of that age is to understand what love is but Callum Rafferty combines initiative with talent to tell a story of emotion through music. Being a what I call young person of today's' society we do get some stick for not being proactive, it is safe to say that thanks to Callum that idea might be pushed under the carpet. He has worked on being a singer/song writer since the age of seven and if 'Speak Now' is anything to go by then he is a successful journey ahead of him.

Of course Callum's single is not all lovey dovey, oh no his featured single Speak Now is a catchy tune. Remember earlier how I talked about the musical fusion that is where it is used. His acoustic guitar doesn't half get used and with the pop beats behind it, somehow it works. It shouldn't but it does.
