A particularly hard working duo these past months, Paper Aeroplanes have spent time in Europe and the UK launching, promoting and touring with their new album. The show came at the tail end of their tour at forest LIVE's Sunday sessions in quiet, rural Fordingbridge, east Hampshire. With no signs of flagging, band politics or over-worked material, Paper Aeroplanes' two set lists were handwritten on crisp pieces of paper and there was an absence of routine in their performance which allowed them to capture the mood of the Town Hall and its occupants.

Starting with one of their finest songs 'The Days we Made' was a bold move asserting that Paper Aeroplanes have sufficient material to fill a night with great song writing. Playing material from five recordings, including recent release Little Letters, Paper Aeroplanes demonstrated why they hold a much coveted place in today's live music scene.

Sarah's voice soared. It crashed and burned, kept alive by the embers of her acoustic guitar, Rich's mandolin, backing vocals, electric and acoustic guitars. The patter and interaction with the audience throughout the evening was well observed, demonstrating both their shared humour and their evident enjoyment at drawing their listeners into the intimacy of the setting.

Before the last song Sarah announced that she wanted to become better acquainted with the audience and the two took up positions amidst their supporters. Turning as she sang, Sarah picked out each and every face within the awestruck crowd. Genius -beautifully performed and sincerely executed.

The audience was reluctant to leave the evening behind them and to exit Fordingbridge Town Hall. The compliments came thick and fast -echoing the critics' reviews for Little Letters.
