The Unthanks With Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band

The Unthanks have played Cambridge Folk Festival a number of times in it's more recent history, in a number of different line up configurations. Both of the sisters, Rachel and Becky have lead workshops, both around the youth side of the festival and the early morning workshops in the Club Tent, always popular.

By adding the Brighouse & Rastrick to the Unthanks has pretty much ensured that we are going to see something unlike any we have seen on the stages in Cherry Hinton Park. The closest I can recall to it was the Happy End more than 20 years ago. I haven't done the numbers, but I think that was also the biggest act to have graced the mainstage until now.

With the notable exception of the Radio Two Folk awards, this is folk like you've never heard it before and may never see again. I'm really looking forward to this one.
