O'Hooley & Tidow
Having previously played Cambridge Folk Festival as part of the Unthanks, Belinda O'Hooley, returns as Nic Jones' piano player, but significant as that is, it pales into insignificance when you realise that she is here with life and musical partner Heidi Tidow.
O'Hooley & Tidow are one of the most innovative duos on the folk circuit, it's almost as though the phrase cabaret folk was invented for them. Their debut album, "Silent June" won the Fatea Innovation Award and their sequel, "The Fragile" has been universally well received and rightly so.
There is a dynamic to O'Hooley & Tidow that makes you feel they are delivering a show as much as a set, the relationship with the audience between their incredible array of songs almost as important as when they are actually singing. It's what makes their performances so personable, well that and a great selection of material.
