Sean Taylor
Sean Taylor made his Cambridge debut last year as a showcase artist playing to a packed Club Tent on the Sunday night. Many of those that saw him play had caught an earlier performance on the Brian McNeill Session on the Saturday, both sets highlighted just how good a guitarist he is.
He managed to sell every album he took to the festival last year so it's really good to see him back this year playing the Den, the emerging artists stage, though it has to be said his very nearly shed the chrysalis and is very much set to appear butterfly like.
Solo dates and support slots are getting him noticed both here and in Europe adding a number of festival appearances to his belt. Though you're unlikely to see it t Cambridge, he's also an accomplished pianist.
Sean Taylor is a man with a real feel for the blues and a deep passion for the guitar. He's also one of the few guitarists that plays a double capo style. If Richard Thompson still wears the crown, Taylor can be considered a young pretender, definitely worth checking out.
His last album, "Walk With Me" is the current Fatea Album Of The Year and he was one of the first artists ever to appear on our Showcase Sessions, so it would be fair to say we like him a lot and hope you'll end up sharing our passion.
