Rumer
Born into the ex-pat community in Pakistan, Rumer had an unconventional childhood, that made for a strange introduction in the English education system and a late arrival to the world of television and technicolor movies.
She was already writing songs before she left school and had plenty of experience to begin getting down on paper and turning into songs as in addition to the travel, she was also caught up in a family breakdown which saw her moving from the New Forest to the North East and subsequently back again.
Having been in indie band La Honda, Rumer eventually she found her way into open mike nights where she had the fortune to be discovered by producer Steve Brown and the rest as they say is history.
A self penned debut album, "Season's Of My Soul" followed on major label Atlantic and from there hard touring and great songs have seen her profile constantly rising. This is her first Cambridge, so expect something special.
