Moore, Moss And Rutter
Moore, Moss And Rutter are just the sort of act that appear regularly on the Cambridge bill and will even more so now that they've got the new stage for highlighting emerging talent.
Despite all being under twenty, Moore, Moss And Rutter have already played a significant amount of festivals and will become part of a relatively small group of artists that have gone on to play Cropredy in the same year that they've played Cambridge.
It would be a reasonable bet that even if they weren't the current Young Tradition Award winners, they would have found their way onto one of the stages here this year. The bonus is that by winning the award, another band gets a shot at one of those slots.
They recently substituted for an unwell Martin Carthy at Beverley Folk Festival, where their interpretation of English folk tunes went down a storm. The trio are geographically quite diverse which gives them the advantage of access to a load of regional songs and tunes and almost certainly means there's a local interest story when the play near a radio station.
I caught these lads recently and definitely intend to see them at Cambridge as well.
