Megan Henwood
Megan Henwood first appeared at Cambridge Folk Festival alongside her brother Joe in 2009 having just won the BBC Young Folk Award as a family duo. Singer/Songwriter Megan has since carved out a solo furrow, releasing her debut single, "What Elliot Said" not long after the festival.
The single picked up a runner up slot in the Single category of the Fatea Award that year and since then Megan has been spending her time honing her craft with numerous dates and recording her debut album that is out imminently, if it's not already out when you're reading this.
She really is an artist on the verge of fulfilling the potential that her talent has created for you. Fresh and imaginative and whilst rooted in the folk idiom, she has also absorbed influences from the many musicians that she has met on her travels.
