Katriona Gilmore And Jamie Roberts have been attracting an awful lot of attention. They are the current Fatea Band/Duo of the year, off the back of two stunning albums and a series of really great performances. They were offered and took part in a Fatea Showcase Session off the back of their debut album, "Shadows & Half Light".

Since then their well received second album "Up From The Deep" saw the band getting a series of nomination across folk publications, not only for their interpretation of traditional songs, but also the way they've added to the canon with modern murder ballads and ghost songs and developed their own contemporary style. "Fleetwood Fair" winning the Hancock for 'Most Original Song'

As well as performing as a duo both musicians have been in great demand for other projects and recording, appearing on more than a handful of albums this year alone. Kat as both a multi instrumentalist and vocalist, Jamie mainly for his incredible guitar skills.

The object of the Showcases is to raise the profiles of the future stars of folk, well catch this duo before they go stratospheric.
