Chris Wood
Multi-award winning, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, Chris Wood, could easily headline the mainstage, so it's a little surprising, though definitely welcome, to see him playing on the Thursday night. I guess that's how diaries pan out.
It will come as no surprise, though, to discover that Chris has played Cambridge Folk Festival on a number of occasions, both solo and as part of various musical combinations, most recently as a member of folk supergroup, Imagined Village.
Chris was also interviewed on the Club Tent Stage when he was part of a forum talking about English folk music as part of a wider piece for the Mojo Interview in 2008, it's fair to say, he hss a real knowledge and passion for the music that gives him a living.
Chris has added plenty to the cannon as both a writer and performer. He's not shy of the political songs as his award winning song "Hollow Point" shows. He's a consummate performer with a strong following, so expect this one to be packed.
