Win An Advance Copy Of New EP "This Family Tree"

Luke Jackson launches his brand new EP/mini album "This Family Tree" and we've got an advance copy for you to win and have in your hand ahead of its official release on April 27th.

"The Family Tree" is a departure for current Fatea Male Vocalist of the year as it's the first release he has recorded with his new trio, featuring Andy Sharps on bass and Connor Downs on percussion and is also his first release on his own First Take Records.

Despite being only twenty, The Luke Jackson is a bit of a reunion for the singer-songwriter, having played with both musicians in a college band a few years back and you can sense that feel for each other's playing in everyone of the seven tracks on this debut release for the trio.

The EP also sees Jackson's songwriting structures continue to expand down new roads, part of which Luke puts down to the sound of his new guitar, a Godin semi-acoustic, and part of it that continued desire to push himself as a writer.

The major thread continues to be the blues themes that he started exploring with his last solo album, "Fumes & Faith", but that little heavier in a band context and there also appears to be hints of a rockabilly coming through giving a number of tracks on the album a real radio friendly feel.

All of which is something you'll discover when you get to hear "This Family Tree" for yourself and for one lucky reader, ahead of pretty much everyone else. All of the names that get the question below right will be put into a hat and the random luck winner drawn on April 18th. Closing time for the competition 23:59 on the 17th of April.

"This Family Tree" is the debut release for The Luke Jackson Trio, but what was Luke Jackson's solo debut album called ?
