Fatea Magazine Becomes Love Folk's Media Partner

Fatea is proud to announce that it is to take on the roll of media partner for the prestigious Love Folk Festival at The Atkinson on the 12th & 13th of February 2016.

The event featuring names such as Seth Lakeman, Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker & John Doyle, Elbow Jane, Will Pound & Eddie Jay, Ange Hardy and Sheelanagig is becoming recognised as the season opener for the extended festival season.

Fatea editor Neil King commented, "Fatea has always been impressed with the Atkinson's commitment not only to folk music, but to acts right along the acoustic spectrum. As a venue they have always been prepared to commit to the best the genre has to offer, but more important from a Fatea point of view, they have always been prepared to take a chance and bring new, less familiar names to the venue giving exposure to upcoming bands and giving both locals and travelling fans the chance to experience new names in a fantastic setting"

Nurturing new talent is very much part of the Fatea ethos and we whole heartedly endorse the approach the Atkinson has taken through regular gigs and their Love Folk Festival. We regularly reports on gigs at the venue and the opportunity to be a part of that was simply one not to be missed.

We look forward to working with the Atkinson to bring you news of this event in the run up, during and after The Love Folk Festival across our media channels.

Gig Reviews

There are only so many hours in a day and only so many gigs we can get to. We'd really like to expand our national coverage of the live scene as it remains the life blood of music.

Are you able to help us and the artist you're seeing out by dropping us a review once you get back home, and maybe even a picture. If you are able to help, Mail Us your review and we'll get it up as quick as we can
