Charity Singles

At this time of year, we thought we would give mention to a couple of Charity singles that have come to out intention, two very different singles supporting very different charities, but also singles that emphasise the generosity of musicians towards the wider community.

The Halstead Clan - A Light Out Of The Dark

The Halstead Clan are releasing a Christmas single called ' A light out of the dark' and will donating all money raised to 3 very special causes. 1) Marie Curie, 2) Help the Aged and 3) A young boy from the school where David from the band works and who has been diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in order to help him achieve things on his wish list.

The single has been written and recorded by band. The artwork was painted by local Bradford artist Daniel Abrahams. Who kindly painted an original for the single to help highlight the story and cause. A considerable amount of thought has gone into both song and design to produce something really special for the time of year.

Sean Taylor - You'll Never Walk Alone

Sean Taylor's remarkable cover version of "You'll Never Walk Alone" came out of the back of an appearance on Liverpool FC TV in which he played the song to a fantastic response.

Subsequently he made the decision to release the track as his second only single and the first not associated with one of his albums. "You'll Never Walk Alone" has been released to raise money for the Hillsborough Justice Campaign.

Backed with Sean's version of Silent Night, the single is a reminder that there is a need to stand up and be counted when things aren't right.

Book Reviews
