Fatea - Woven Wheat Whispers Announce Fatea Showcase Sessions

Fatea/Woven Wheat Whispers are pleased to announce a partnership for the Fatea Showcase Sessions. The collaboration bringing together two organisations with the love and support of acoustic based music in their core.

The Fatea Showcase Sessions will highlight artists that have impressed with their releases and that we feel deserve a wider exposure. Each of the Fatea Showcase Sessions will be themed and feature fifteen acts.

The Fatea Showcase Sessions have been compiled so that once downloaded they are capable of being turned into a cd. The concept is of a complete album and the tracks are not available individually. The download is of the highest quality 256kbs and available DRM free. The downloads will be exclusively available on Woven Wheat Whispers

The objective behind the Fatea Showcase Session is to take acoustic based music to a wider audience and give additional exposure to the featured artists. Some of the recordings on the compilation come from self released material recorded on a budget, but are recorded with a passion that deserves wider recognition.

Each showcase will only be available for a three month period, after which they will not be available for download again.

Woven Wheat Whispers is a dedicated folk, roots and acoustic music download service based in the UK distributing a wide range of music from traditional song through to experimental folk. The service works with a growing range of artists and labels to build a participative music community that helps folk music to thrive in the interconnected era.

Fatea has been involved in the promotion of acoustic based music for over twenty years, Starting out life as a paper magazine back in the 80s. During that time they released a number of cover mounted flexidiscs and cover mounted cassettes.

In the 1980s Fatea launched the UK’s first CD-ROM based magazine, Music From A New Dimension that was the first to feature reviews, interviews and pictures alongside tracks from the featured artists.

Fatea also publishes the world’s oldest continually updated festival website. Since Fatea returned to the web as a magazine it has been proud to feature many self released albums alongside releases from better known record labels, Fatea has always viewed the music as the key aspect.

In Woven Wheat Whispers, Fatea found a download partner that matched it’s love and passion for the music and we look forward to a long collaboration with the artists at its heart.
