It's not often you get to listen and purchase great music while feeling good about yourself. High Tide is the latest single from Devon based foursome Velvet & Stone, and 100% of profits from the track will go to Cancer Research UK, the charity dedicated to saving more lives by preventing, controlling and curing all cancers. It's a generous act, but as Lara Snowdon says, "so many people that we know have been touched by cancer in some way, including our own families."

So is the song any good? In a word, yes.

Building on their EP from last year, Embers, High Tide has the same evocative and ethereal sound though it is slightly lower key than a lot of their music. That doesn't make it any less of a wonderful listen however, and it doesn't need to build to any great musical crescendo to completely capture your attention. The imagery is typically superb; water features prominently in their catalogue and the naturalistic elements are always played to perfection. This is warm, soothing, and just a little bit wild.

"We are delighted that Velvet & Stone have chosen us to be he recipients of the proceeds of this single, especially because it is such a beautiful song with a personal meaning. We wish them all the best, and hope that the public show their support by buying the song and helping to beat cancer sooner." Annabel Coakley, Local Fundraising Manager at Cancer Research UK.

Great music and the chance to do some real good? You just can't go wrong!
