Right I will be honest with you all I only picked this CD as I have not listen to any of Ringo's solo offerings and all I can see I wish I have and will be hunting them down.

"Give More Love" is the latest offering from perhaps the often overlooked remaining Beatle. It contains 14 tracks of differing styles from down right rock n roll through country to downright reggie.

From the opening track "We're On The Road Again" I was hooked quite literally as I stuck a needle in my finger while enjoying the music and not paying attention to what I was doing. The stand out track for me is "Show Me The Way" mainly because it struck a real cord with my life. The musicians who helped out on the tracks read like a who's who of rock music.Paul McCartney, Peter Frampton, Joe Walsh, Benmont Trench (keyboard player with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and. Steve Lukathar from Toto to name but a few all add an air of superiority to the proceedings.

Each track stands on its own merits and the sum of the parts create a whole which is well worth a listen. For me it just goes to show what a underrated talent Ringo is, who has unfairly been eclipsed by the more successful offerings of his cohorts from The Beatles.

So if you are like me and not experienced the solo works of Ringo Starr believe me when I say you can not go wrong with starting your listening journey right here with his latest offering "Give More Love".
