Some times opportunity knocks late, but when it does it's important to grab it with both hands and simply ride the wave.
Until recently, Joe was a mild mannered accountant who sung for personal pleasure. He's just put out his second single, an accapela version of the carol "O Holy Night"
Joe was 'spotted' by Folkstock's Helen Meissner who was amazed he had never taken his singing seriously. Joe, who splits his time between bases in Hertfordshire and Norfolk, was offered studio time to record some songs he loves singing with producer Lauren Deakin Davies and has just released his debut single.
A cover of Can't Help Falling in Love, with all proceeds going to the local branch of national charity Home-Start, came out on 30th Nov and garnered a very enthusiastic reaction. Radio shows, local press features and interviews have followed, and so Joe has gone back into the studio to record O Holy Night just in time for Christmas 2018! He doesn't play any instruments so a capella was the most logical expression of this beautiful carol.
It's worthy of noting that this was recorded in one take, with no tuning or messing around in the studio post production, you can even hear what he said to himself just before he sang it. This is as real as it gets. We wish you a peaceful Christmas!
