With releases all due soon so keep an eye out in the shops as well as the releases and reviews section of the magazine. Katriona Gilmore And Jamie Roberts follow up their highly entertaining full length album, " Shadows & Half Light" with sophomore album "Up From The Deep" in mid October. Katriona's a busy lass as she also plays in Rosie Doonan's band and Rosie Doonan has got an album of her own "Pot Of Gold" due out in November.
Talking of busy duos , another Fatea regular "Doghouse Roses" have been spending time in the studio earlier in the year with a new album "This Broken Key" due out imminently. We will be giving it plenty of attention
Already out and due for review in very soon is the latest from one of Britain's biggest hidden song writing jewels, Robb Johnson, why the man isn't a household name shows exactly what is meant by the phrase 'life isn't fair. Not that Robb gives a hoot about things like that he just goes on putting his thoughts on the world into song. "Man Walks Into Pub" on his own Irregular Records the most recent set.
Singer songwriters often seem to have the toughest time getting recognition and too a degree radio play, there don't seem to be the shows that give them a chance to flex their wings. That being the case if you get the chance to check out the latest offering from Hi-Def TV, "A Long Year", do try and take it , your reward will be a cracking single packed with good songs.
One artist that is really starting to get the recognition he deserves is Sean Taylor regular readers will know that we've championed his cause for a while and judging by the reaction to his current album "Walk With Me" in Q, Maverick and The Metro amongst many others, hopefully it won't be long before an appearance on the like of 'Later' is due, come on Jules.
Dorset songstress Lou Brown is just about to head off on a headline tour in support of her "Calm The Rising Waters" album. The tour taking in London, Norwich, Bristol, Newcastle and Glasgow amongst others check out her site for more details.
