Eoghan Colgan Wins O2 Undicovered Bursary
Fatea, has been following the career of Eoghan Colgan for sometime now. We've rated both of the self-released singles very highly, Eoghan isn't just a writer of songs,
he's a writer of anthms. Our faith in Eoghan's talent has been vinicated by none other than the O2 Undiscovered panel of industry experts, made up from the likes of A&R,
Pr, performing and promoting.
Basically the O2 Bursary is a battle of the bands on a national scale. The top prize consists of some £5k of instruments, mentoring, production support, press, marketing
even down to clothing and image. This year about three and a half thousand bands from all sorts of genres took part, but it was Eoghan Colgan's style of singer/sopngwriting
that took it.
Formerally from Northern Island, but currently a doctor in Glasgow, Eoghan is equally at home with a band around him or solo
On finding out that he was to be the recipient of the bursary, he said, "Winning O2 Undiscovered is a fantastic opportunity to gain recognition and further my music career.
During the competition the highly influential panel members have given me invaluable advice and support. I am just stunned at the reaction from everyone."
FATEA hopes that the bursary helps Eoghan make the breakthrough his talent so obviously deserves.
