Twilight Music Festival
Sunday September 27th 2009
London is getting a brand new music festival to extend and round off the festival season. Featuring household names, up and coming acts as well as a little comedy, The Twilight Music Festival is going to be very much a family affair.
Festival organizer and manager of the Hertford Corn Exchange, Mr Chris Addison said "We wanted to extend the festival season and use beautiful surroundings to make an unforgettable day for everyone. We chose the Walker Cricket Ground in Southgate, London, N14 for its vast open green area for families to stretch out on blankets and enjoy a great day out. There will be loads of food stalls offering cuisine from around the world, which within the beautiful surroundings of the Walker Cricket Ground and the sounds of the past and present should make for a lovely day."
Headline Acts
Fairport Convention - Nine Below Zero - Mungo Jerry - Hazel O'Connor - John Otway & Wild Willy Barrett - Ed Tenpole Tudor - Divided Opinions
To add a totally up-to-date theme to the event we are featuring some of Britain's best unsigned bands and to entertain the troops between bands, we have stand up comedians from the gag club
The London Twilight Festival is the last (therefore Latest - Greatest) Festival of the summer season with a truly outstanding musical line up in one of the most beautiful locations in North London.
Speaking about the impressive line up, Mr Addison said " We have had a very good year so far at the Hertford Corn Exchange, offering a style and an era for everyone-the London Twilight is really a showcase of some of my favourite bits. If there had been more hours in the day, I would have invited more…its just my way of showing the acts who have appeared at the venue how grateful I am-all I can offer them is a bigger stage. And to show my gratitude to the punters who have supported the venue I have put all their favourites in one place.."
