A friend once said to me: "It's all about the riff man; it's all about the riff." As the lead guitarist of a hard rock band such a sentiment was not surprising but to be able to apply it to the debut single of Lookman Adekunle (L.A.) Salami, a songwriter of immense talent is.

The perceptive, incisive, defiant lyrics are there but it is the ridiculously catchy, timeless (it sounds like it could have been written any time from the fifties to last week) riff that will stay with you longest and will get the radio plays.

I don't know if anyone has ever called L.A. a failure, but if they have, a retraction and immediate apology should follow the first listen of this.
