First Edition

It's not every day we cover the printed medium, but then it's not everyday we come across a magazine like this.

In some respects, First Edition, shares it's spiritual ethos with Fatea. Where we try to find a home with singer/songwriters, bands, musicians etc across the acoustic genres, First Edition is looking to become a home to aspiring novelists, poets, authors essayists ,writers.

The debut issue of First Edition is due to hit the shelves early in February and may already be out by the time you read this and features eighteen short stories across a range of styles, romance, sci-fi, horror, thrillers, historic, mainly from previously unpublished authors/

Like Fatea, First Edition believes that just because an artist hasn't yet made the big breakthrough that the quality isn't there. The history of writing, like music is littered with tales of highly talented individuals locked away in rooms developing their craft until the door opens and lo and behold the next J.K. appears.

I know there's a lot of songwriters out there that are frustrated novelists and playwrights, some are already successful in both mediums, looking to get published, who knows this may well be the first step along the path.

Alternatively you might just enjoy reading for reading's sake with no desire to jot down a word or two, in which case, why not give some new names a go?

If you're interested in submitting, why not go to the magazine website and look at the t's and c's, if you're just interested in reading why not get a subscription or get you local newsagent to get a copy in?
