'The Only Poster Child' is the first single from the debut album 'Fear Of Phantoms' (cruelly not destined for release until spring 2011) and follows from their debut EP 'Telephone and Traffic Lights' and Roye's solo album 'Welcome To One Man Town'.

Roye is the possessor of a rich and soulful voice which is almost eclipsed, first by Beth Dariti's bass line and then the uplifting Caribbean styled lead guitar hook of Simon Lewis that underpins this delightfully danceable track.

My only criticism is that the chorus never gets quite as big as I would like but when it's three minutes is up it fulfils the basic requirement of any single: you want to hear it again. Personally, I had it on repeat for three quarters of the length of the district line.
