Seth Lakeman

A former Mercury nominee, Seth Lakeman was involved in two almost legendary performances at Cambridge. The first at an absolutely packed Club Tent when here as a showcase artist, the second on the mainstage next year when I think Cambridge came the closest it's ever going to come to having knickers thrown.
Seth first appeared at Cambridge as part of young folk supergroup the Equation. The band that was the springboard for the various Lakeman brothers, Kate Rusby and Cara Dillon
Seth features a lot of material from his native West Country and has been at the forefront of the revival of music from that region along with the likes of Show Of Hands.
Seth is one of folk's great showman. He's also built a good band around himself for a set you'll need to be at early if you want to be in knicker throwing range.
