Ember

For some reason, Machynlleth based duo Ember, Emily Williams and Rebecca Sullivan seem to have remained a Welsh secret. Well the bands most recent album, "Open All The Doors" seems to have done just that. The secret is well and truly out.
Open All The Doors has lead to tracks being included on Proper Records Folk Rising 2 and The Fatea Showcase Session:Duos and rightly so. The girls have found a folk/americana/bluegrss sound that they can easily call their own.
Not totally what day they'll be playing the Club Tent, you might even see them in the queue, I'm sure the album will be available at the Proper concession anyway.
Keep your eye on the Club Tent boards for Ember and give them your support if you can.

Post Festival Thoughts

Ember managed to secure themselves a slot in the Club Tent. They were up against The Waifs and Chris Wood and still managed to get an impressive turn out. They could also be found busking around the site as well as Coldham's Common, according to unconfirmed reports. Ember are an exciting duo that really know how to work a crowd. They are also two slices short of a toast rack. It gives the set a sense that anything could happen. I think it probably did.
